Remote access

Remote access opens a web server on the controller’s machine, such as an HMI, in a new browser tab from anywhere, through JasperX.

  • The controller is online and Active. A parked controller has no remote access; activate it first (see Active and Parked).
  • You are an Editor or Manager on it.
  • The web server’s port is on the controller’s remote access list.
  • Remote access has not been turned off on the controller itself. It is on unless someone turns it off there.
  1. Open the programme with the controller selected and choose Controller settings, or choose Settings on the controller’s page.
  2. Under Remote access, type the web server’s port, choose Add, then Save. The list can be changed only while the controller is online.
  3. Choose Open beside the port. The screen opens in a new tab. If the browser holds the tab back, a link appears to open it; if that link has lapsed, press Open again.

Some connector cards on the Overview carry their own link, which opens the same way.

Remote access shows what that web server shows, and nothing more. It reaches only the ports on the list and never the controller’s local web interface. To change the programme, use the Builder.
