Operators
An Operator runs the machine, not its programme: they open the programme and ask Jasper about it, and never see its tags, logic, connectors or revisions.
What an Operator sees
Section titled “What an Operator sees”- Their programmes on the home page (Programmes you operate), on a computer or a phone.
- Each programme’s card: its name, whether it is online and which controller runs it.
- Notes for operators, when an Editor has written them in Programme settings.
- The chat with Jasper.
There are no Builder views: no Bench, no tag tree, no logic, no connectors, no revisions and no activity.
An Operator’s chat is always Ask: Jasper answers and changes nothing. He can give a tag’s live value, explain the controller’s notifications and say the one thing to check next, using the notes. He does not show programme logic, tag listings or revisions to an Operator. When no controller runs the programme or it is offline, he says he cannot see live values now and gives the notes as guidance. An Operator’s chats are their own: other people on the programme do not see them.
Adjust
Section titled “Adjust”Adjust is in development. Today an Operator cannot change any value.
Giving someone Operator access
Section titled “Giving someone Operator access”A Manager shares the programme or its project with them at Operator from Share, including people in other organisations. See Sharing.
